Living together in Adelaide, Australia, Life Pilot is a chaotic hardcore metal band that doesn’t have time to follow musical norms, they want to write their own music and make their own sound. In their most recent single and accompanying music video, they allowed us to catch a glimpse of what it is like to live with four other people and the challenges one must overcome in the ensuing turmoil.
The video begins by setting up the conflict of the story: who is going to take out the bins? The video follows an unlikely hero as he journeys across the land with his trusty trash bin, collecting items and meeting interesting characters throughout his expedition. While the video itself is very lighthearted and will make you laugh for the entire duration, the song takes a much darker and heavier approach with the lyrics and instruments.
“Dark, Dark, Goose” is perfectly mixed and engineered, Life Pilot displaying their sound and
carving out a niche for them in music history. The mix of the rough and clean vocals are brilliant, showing a control over the voice that is indicative of the time and energy spent perfecting the craft. The instruments will get you up on your feet and moving about the room, the groove of theguitar and beat of the drums consummate companions to round out the spectacular song.
Check out the song and music video if you want something you can head bang too and a video that will make you laugh your ass off.
